Travis
Tees is committed to serving the community of loyal Americans
who oppose the domestic and foreign policies of George
W. Bush and the so-called "Neo-conservatives." They
have seized control of our government, putting corporate
and elite interests above those of ordinary Americans.
Most importantly, they lied about the reasons for the war in Iraq, and have entangled the nation in a war over oil and power that only further destabilizes the Middle East, and by energizing Islamic radicals, exacerbating conflicts will continue many generations to come. It is the patriotic duty of all Americans to question
their authority to rewrite the Constitution and hold
them accountable for their illegal and immoral deeds at home and abroad.
As the anti-war and anti-Bush movements continue to grow in numbers and intensity, one
way to awaken the conscience of post-election America
is to facilitate the creative spirit of ordinary citizens
and keep the pressure of organized political opposition
alive. When an ordinary citizen has a flash of inspiration
in the form of a political slogan or image, the idea
usually never comes to fruition. Travis Tees wants to
help promote these home-made messages, and has more than
one way to do it. We offer custom design services, contests,
public forums, and blog hosting. The concept is to unite
a community of patriotic dissenters and conscientious
objectors, and promote the Revolution that is coming.
Our
First Year
Travis
Tees began in early 2004, after President Bush unveiled
his plan for "spatial exploration" that would
culminate in a manned mission to Mars. The announcement
came on the birthday of one high school teacher in Los
Angeles, who thought ”Send men to Mars? We should
send Bush to Mars! Yeah! ’Send Bush to Mars!‘" Out
of this idea, Travis Tees was born. "Send Bush to
Mars" was our first product, and it sold well.
Other people
around the country had the same slogan in mind, and a few even produced
stickers and t-shirts with this message, but all of them with
less attractive graphics that the design from Travis Tees. The phrase was also chanted at rallies, put on home-made signs
and blogged. The novelty eventually faded, but Travis Tees' marketing plan concept kept evolving.
Soon,
people with great ideas and talent began to use Travis
Tees to realize the publication of their political messages.
The second and third designs the company marketed were
collaborations between the company and members of the
politically conscious community.
